Somato Emotional Release: I & II

Most healthcare approaches separate mind and body - either physical therapy or psychotherapy, the body hospital or the mind hospital.

We know however that a radical change in physical health, whether for the better or the worse, is invariably accompanied by profound mental change. We also know from studies of behaviour and body language that the reverse is equally true - a major change in mental perspective is always accompanied by a change in body activity, posture and movement.

SomatoEmotional Release® serves the purpose of combining all aspects of human nature, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, into one approach that can facilitate tremendous change and growth in a person’s life.

Dora Franco, B.Sc., D.O., BI-D, ( www.terapia-sacrocraniana.blogspot.com ) completed the Courses SomatoEmotional Release: I & II (SER) . These courses expands on the principles of CranioSacral Therapy. It is a therapeutic process that helps rid the mind and body of the residual effects of trauma. SER offers applications designed to enhance results using CST and other complementary therapies.

During the courses, the therapists review the technique protocol to facilitate the opening of the Avenue of Expression, explore the integration of psychosynthesis, Gestalt and Jungian psychologies within the SER process, delve further into the use of Therapeutic Imagery and Dialogue as a method to facilitate the client through the emotional release process, learn to trust your hands more as you experience the gentleness and safety of the SER approach and see the benefits that ensue and study how to facilitate and experience the completion of the biological process.

The applied techniques are integrated with various creative and dialoguing methods.

After completing these courses, the therapists are able to refine further listening and comprehension skills, improve palpation and whole-body evaluation skills.

Experienced therapists can assess and mobilize the Avenue of Expression working through more than 10 different body components, including the thoracic inlet, hard palate and hyoglossal tissues, locate and release the Energy Cysts, release suppressed emotions that may be inhibiting complete structural releases.
